THE NUMBER AND MARK OF THE BEAST
It is almost universally understood that the 'Number of the Beast' is that which can be found in Revelation 13:18; 666. This work takes a different position in that we feel there is something in that passage which readers have completely overlooked.  We are to 'Calculate the number of the beast'.  But why should we be told to calculate a NUMBER when the context immediately gives us the solution, 666, in verse 18?  I would encourage readers to look at the passage with new eyes.  We are to calculate, add up, or determine the beast's number by finding a man.  That man (not the beast) has the number 666.  There is only one MAN in the Bible who is associated with the number 666, and that man is SOLOMON (see 1 Kings 10:14).  Notice the very obvious clue given to us in Revelation 13:18 - 'Here is WISDOM, let he who has UNDERSTANDING'.  Compare this with the description of Solomon given in 1 Kings 4:29.  It is from SOLOMON that we are to calculate the number of the beast.  Again, the number of the beast is NOT 666.  However, 666 belongs to a man, Solomon, from which we can calculate the true number of the beast, and in so doing we can find a most astonishing solution.  See Boxes B and C below.
