So what you're saying is....

Recently, I received a second-hand e-mail announcing the death of a particular person with the information that said person had been prayed over during the last moments of his life, but the ones praying did not know whether or not he was conscious so as to be sure that he received salvation before passing on.

It was also reported that the newly deceased had a sister who had also passed away the previous year, but, with the certainty that this young lady had indeed died "unsaved".

This report came with the same lack-luster presentation that I have just delivered.

What really is the implication delivered by these "Christians"?

According to most Evangelical circles, possibly this young man, but, certainly his unsaved sister who had not said the right prayer or lived the correct way before dying (especially without every single Christian in the known world beating down doors to plead with everyone breathing that eternal torment in hell is the only fate awaiting them) is currently, at this very moment suffering eons upon eons of misery and suffering amid horrifying screams of agony whilst demonic worms devour an endlessly rejuvinating spiritual flesh that grows ever more sensitive to the flames that have become their eternal habitation and reward for a short life of wrong-doing.... Oh well, that's just too bad. Could you pass the remote, please? Desperate Housewives is about to come on.

Luk 9:54 And when his disciples James and John saw [this], they said, Lord, wilt thou that we command fire to come down from heaven, and consume them, even as Elias did?
Luk 9:55 But he turned, and rebuked them, and said, Ye know not what manner of spirit ye are of.
Luk 9:56 For the Son of man is not come to destroy men's lives, but to save [them]. And they went to another village.
