In response to your post on the Nicene Creed it seems that the mood of the edicts concerning the creed and overall the power held by Constantine and subsequently the Holy Roman Church supports your thoughts on the four Abominations of Desolation in that each time one appeared it was coupled with edicts outlawing or making difficult the act of true worship. Obviously we can see the makings of the last one in all these tolerance laws that are trying to gain ground..ie...homosexual tolerance as well as the "ten commandments" removal..."God" out, no prayer...etc... It wouldn't take much more for the fanatics to fan the flames and the governments to start shutting us down.
