Hey David, I have several questions for you, some may seem redundant...etc..but, you know me.
Does it seem that during the seven vials, that although it is apparent to many, that these are judgments originating from God, that the powers that be are unbelieving, hence the influence of the three frogs?
Rev 16:10 And the fifth poured out his bowl upon the throne of the beast; and his kingdom was darkened; and they gnawed their tongues for pain,
Rev 16:11 and they blasphemed the God of heaven because of their pains and their sores; and they repented not of their works.
Why is this verse here?
Rev 16:15 (Behold, I come as a thief. Blessed is he that watcheth, and keepeth his garments, lest he walked naked, and they see his shame.)
Just before the gathering to Armegeddon and the seventh vial? I am trying to harmonize this with the sign of Matt 24.
I might still be trying to bullet-proof the idea that the elect are gathered at the onset of the seventh trump.
Here is an alternate line of thought, just to cover it...
Mat 24:29 But immediately after the tribulation of those days the sun shall be darkened, and the moon shall not give her light, and the stars shall fall from heaven, and the powers of the heavens shall be shaken:After the War against the witnesses and they are overcome and lie dead in the street, enlightenment and truth are squelched.
Mat 24:30 and then shall appear the sign of the Son of man in heaven: and then shall all the tribes of the earth mourn, and they shall see the Son of man coming on the clouds of heaven with power and great glory.The Witnesses get validation by seeing the sign of the Son of man COMING with power---has he actually finished coming yet or is it a sign, like the star that was the sign of his first coming, followed by the fall of the one tenth?
Mat 24:31 And he shall send forth his angels with a great sound of a trumpet, and they shall gather together his elect from the four winds, from one end of heaven to the other. It seems that the majority of the people(laity) will recognize this sign and be lamenting what it signifies, although much of the world must ignore it otherwise there wouldn't be marriage and celebrating..etc..like in Noah's time. Looking at the first verse in this post, is it possible that the elect don't get gathered until after the sixth and before the seventh? Rev 19:17-20 seem to verify his presence lliterally at the gathering of the kings to Armageddon. Or can the vials be in actuality throwing the beast and the false prophet into the lake of fire?
Also notice in verse 30 of Matt 24, that the "tribes" mourn and not the nations. Is that because only those who are familiar with the Christian story, even if it is a whole country's worth will see it for what it is? Might correspond to the Israel/1000yr theory.
Find the errors for me, please. I am dizzying myself.
