Lake of Fire,

Well, to add to the ruined Babylon the Great becoming a "prison" of sorts...

Rev 18:2 And he cried out with a mighty voice, saying, "{Fallen}, fallen [is] Babylon the great! And she became a dwelling place of demons and a prison of every unclean [or, defiling] spirit and a prison of every unclean and having been detested bird.

The question is now, will we have three types of habitations? One for the new Israel, one for the "nations" that are waiting to be gathered either to Gog/Magog or are waiting for healing, and the Babylon/prison/darkness? Or since the nations fornicated with the Harlot, might not they all be gathered to the war of Gog/magog, but, are distinctive in habitation until that time? The fact that ones gathered to the war come from the four ends of the earth doesn't limit those to one specified location. The commands to get out of her and the elect being gathered seems to denote that Babylon will be emptied of God's people. I think that line of thought that Western Europe as well as the USA could very well be holdings of demons since they are definitely going to be hit hard and suffer long. The fall of Western Civ. will also have a calamitous affect on the other nations as to their lack of prosperity and inability to do any damage during the Millenial reign.

Rev 20:2 And he laid hold on the dragon, the old serpent, which is the Devil and Satan, and bound him for a thousand years,
Rev 20:3 and cast him into the abyss, and shut it, and sealed it over him, that he should deceive the nations no more, until the thousand years should be finished: after this he must be loosed for a little time.

If we can associate Satan with his earlier form of Government or nationality symbolically as earlier in Revelation and if we can also use the terminology of the abyss as akin to the Dark Ages, then while Israel has a period of enlightenment, the rest of the world will be in the Dark Ages anew.

Thinkin out loud...

Chris
