New thoughts on the Signs of the end,

Mat 24:29 But immediately after the tribulation of those days the sun shall be darkened, and the moon shall not give her light, and the stars shall fall from heaven, and the powers of the heavens shall be shaken:
Mat 24:30 and then shall appear the sign of the Son of man in heaven: and then shall all the tribes of the earth mourn, and they shall see the Son of man coming on the clouds of heaven with power and great glory.
Mat 24:31 And he shall send forth his angels with a great sound of a trumpet, and they shall gather together his elect from the four winds, from one end of heaven to the other.

Mar 13:26 And then shall they see the Son of man coming in clouds with great power and glory.
Mar 13:27 And then shall he send forth the angels, and shall gather together his elect from the four winds, from the uttermost part of the earth to the uttermost part of heaven.

Luk 21:27 And then shall they see the Son of man coming in a cloud with power and great glory.
Luk 21:28 But when these things begin to come to pass, look up, and lift up your heads; because your redemption draweth nigh. Luk 21:29 And he spake to them a parable: Behold the fig tree, and all the trees:
Luk 21:30 when they now shoot forth, ye see it and know of your own selves that the summer is now nigh.

The sign is seen of him coming, but, when exactly will he arrive? He is seen coming with power and great glory ( with the setting forth of some of the vials?) but, in Luke, the firstfruits are told that there redemption draws near, but, is not yet.

Each of the sign scriptures is followed by the parable of the fig tree, and the judging of seasons by the ripening of the leaves. The sign that the harvest is coming is that the leaves become tender and the time is NEAR. The tribes, not, nations will mourn. The nations will treat it as in the days of Noah, although they are in turmoil (they have been moreso since the turn of the century, but, they still party). Is this because "tribes" calls to mind Israel and "spiritual Israel", emphasizing those that you have mentioned as being professed Christians, but, not having true zeal? Will only religious people recognize that something big is brewing an not just dismiss it as natural disaster or just the state of the world or some phenomenon? The closest analogy I can come up with is when you see dark clouds you know there is a storm coming quickly, but, not sure when the lightning will strike. The elect are warned when they see the sign of his coming to hold there heads high until he gathers them, not knowing precisely when.

Rev 16:15 (Behold, I come as a thief. Blessed is he that watcheth, and keepeth his garments, lest he walked naked, and they see his shame.)
Rev 16:16 And they gathered them together into the place which is called in Hebrew Har-magedon.
Rev 16:17 And the seventh poured out his bowl upon the air; and there came forth a great voice out of the temple, from the throne, saying, It is done:

An admonishment to keep watching is made just prior to the seventh vial. Is this an admonishment for the elect, with the original warning, or for those who have now turned to Christ?

Revelation 19 has an account where Christ is precisely visible and described alongside his armies and holy ones and making pronouncement on the gathered armies. Could it be they were gathered sometime between the sixth and seventh vials? We still would have the ones "left" to make up the great multitude who have come out of the tribulation.

Thinkin out loud and lookin for answers if possible.

Chris
